AGIL - TRADITION AND QUALITY

The story of AGIL begins in 1991, when this name
(Adrian, Gabriel, Iosif, Letitia)
that represents a brand today was only a dream. What initially began as a family business continued to develop, the quality of the salamis and sausages determining the increase of the number of clients.

The first AGIL product registered under the name of “Pleskavita” is a kind of hamburger adapted to the culinary demands of the habitants of Banat.

The company continued developing on a continuous ascendant line, thanks to, above all, the attention paid to the QUALITY of products.
In 1992, the number of AGIL’s employees was of 3; in 1996 their number reached 40 and in 2010 exceeded 300. Various kinds of high quality traditional sausages are available in 30 stores AGIL.
An extremely important step in the development of the company was the investment of over 250 000 USD since 1999 used for the purchase of machines with high performance in the alimentary industry.

After Romania entered the European Union, the challenges of an extending market, with increased demands affected the activity of AGIL also. The necessity of increasing the efficiency of the manufacturing process and of assuring the highest standards of quality determined the elaboration of a SAPARD project, with a value of 4.6 million euro, which allowed the building of a modern factory of “green-field” type, in the periurban area of Timisoara. The new factory, fitted with the most efficient machines of meat processing, finished in 2007, having a capacity of manufacturing of 40 tons of products / day, allowed us to get products of superior quality and safety. The products are obtained Magement Integrated Quality - Environmental and food safety certified ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and ISO 14001.

 

Demand for meat is covered with success after implementing SAPARD project, which allows increasing the quality and diversification of product mix to meet EU standards.

AGIL salamis and sausages are delivered in Timis, Arad, Bihor, Cluj, Alba, Hunedoara, Caras Severin, Mehedinti, Dolj, Arges, Sibiu, Brasov, Mures, Satu Mare, Maramures, Bacau, Prahova, Suceava, Bucuresti and Iasi.

The manufacturing capacity increase and its correlation with marketing imposed that the factory to be fitted with last generation machines and the innovation of the rolling stock, a project that began in 2008 and ended in March 2009 with FEADR European irredeemable funds of 750 000 euro. The rolling stock is fitted according to the highest standards that are imposed by the transportation of meat products, so that AGIL products keep their freshness, regardless if the products are purchase from one of the 30 own shops or from AGIL partners.

Nowadays, following the increase of sells of raw dry products and for the continuity of tradition,AGIL initiated a new project with FEADR European funds of 2 million euro, in order to extend with processing and storing places, which shall be finished in 2011.
